Dan Sanders is a multidisciplinary designer who works on a broad range of projects including architecture, typography, furniture design, interactive media, illustration and information visualisation.

Guaranteed to become a designer, as a youngster he would spend hours sketching, inventing, tinkering and figuring out how things worked (don’t mention ‘the speakers’ to his dad… ), and was delighted when he realised his fascination with the workings of his surroundings could actually be a job!

His work ethic has always been about originality, innovation and finding the straightforward, less than obvious connections between things. This is achieved through a pragmatic and concise approach to problem solving that’s well communicated.

“Optimistically following iconic, big or recent trends seldom leads to steady or reliable success. The best approach is to honestly describe your capabilities and aims, then picture what the view ahead is from there; this provides a set of tools and a process to direct and monitor progress.”

Considering himself very fortunate to have collaborated with a variety of entrepreneurial clients and designers over the years, he’s frequently involved in projects that feature an urban, spatial or practical context and an experiential narrative.

Daniel has a BA Hons in Graphic Design and a BA Hons (RIBA1) in Architecture, this is supplemented by extensive self directed study and a background in teaching and coaching.
